The latest addition to the list of data loss victims is the British air base. The files that contained data related to thousands of current and former Royal Air Force service personnel were lost when somebody stole the data from the high-security area. The police department was informed of the theft, but no suspects were found until now. Though the exact data which was lost is not known, the loss could be devastating because the air base handles information related to 900,000 military personnel.
